NW GW services for CATSDB as standard?

I need to develop a kind of timesheet application. Still now I couldn't figure out if there is a NW GW service that provides services to read the catsdb and writes to the catsdb. How source is the timesheet app from firoi using? Could someone please tell me if there is a standard service for this?
