Auto complete in gateway - search/query in entityset with less than 3 characters

Hello,

I have an issue of search in entityset.

I wrote a gateway service to search user name. but the getEntitySet is not getting call unless we search with min 3 characters.

I put a breakpoint in the backend, when I entered 2 characters, the call was not triggered, but when I entered 3 characters, the call stopped at the breakpoint.

searchstring = io_tech_request_context->get_search_string( ).

Is there exit/enhancement can change this ?  because some of the users in our sap systems contains two characters in their name.
