Backend Event Publisher (BEP) Subscription/Notification development with odata channel

Hello,

I'm trying to create some odata services with the option to subscribe to collections and receiving notifications via pull (NOTIFICATIONSTORE) on Netweaver Gateway 2.0sp6.

I've read a  lot of documentation about this lately(e.g.:

1 http://scn.sap.com/community/netweaver-gateway/blog/2012/12/03/gateway-pushing-notifications-made-easy

2 http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20cea26b-8675-2f10-fa96-d4875f49b05b?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true&54417235903812

3 http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e03df0bf-a783-2e10-eca8-9e4918fd37ee?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true&51492363279729

)

which seem to be obsolete or just refer to a push scenario.

What works is the first one(1) which gave mit the first success moment(I get notified when a user gets created, changed or deleted ).

Furthermore I changed that example a little to fit to a subscription to the MaterialCollection in my example odata service.

So after creating an own implementation of "BI_EVENT_HANDLER_STATIC" and using it as the rfc endpoint for my event, I also get notifications when a material gets created.

But in the standard documentation there is allways being referred to the /IWBEP/BOR_ADAPTER as the endpoint for the event.

After a lot of debugging I found out, that the subscriptions made to my collection are not being used as a subscription to the corespinding event.

I think because of missing or wrong GSDO configuration. But I'm clueless here.

What configuration has to be done, so that if someone subscribes to an odata channel, he gets a notification when the coresponding backend events are thrown?

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_gateway20sp06/helpdata/en/fc/58bbf3b9e648f7b78ad5987753b11b/content.htm

Just says "Configured a GSDO group in SAP NetWeaver Gateway for the application that starts the backend event subscription" but I did not find out how to do so.

The point "Manage GSDO Group for OData Service" mentioned here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_gateway20sp06/helpdata/en/70/be3b976c614b4f92f1fe75b2fd0ab7/frameset.htm just does not exist in our system.

Any clues or resources etc. how to continue on that topic?

Thanks.
